Wedding photography Chichester Guildhall

The weather forecast for last weekends wedding at Chichester Guildhall was not ideal, -2 and snow was the predicted weather for the weekend. Luckily for me and the guests who had travelled to Chichester for the wedding of Michael and Melissa although it was very cold the snow was thin on the ground so the predicted traffic delays did not materialise and with a bride who is known to be punctual to everything it was no surprise that the wedding ceremony started at exactly 2.30pm as arranged!

Melissa looked amazing in her gorgeous ivory wedding dress supplied by Proposals in Chichester which coincidentally is just a short walk from where the wedding was taking place at the historic Chichester Guildhall. Michael and his groomsmen where very smartly turned out in matching contemporary  suits provided by Moss Bros and with beautiful floral arrangements by Manor Nursery of Chichester the seven was set for an emotional, fun filled and joyous wedding.

After the wedding ceremony had finished we decided that with the cold wheaten outside it would be best to do the confetti throwing and group shots in the Guildhall before letting the guests make their way to the reception and I would stay behind with the bride and groom for 10 minutes and get some photos of them alone in this wonderful location, the Chichester Guildhall began its life in 1269 as a Franciscan Friary where it existed for over 200 years when durning the reign of King Henry VIII it was closed and all of the other buildings except the chancel were demolished. It is only since 2015 when the Guildhall was granted a wedding license that weddings have been held in this ancient and historically important building in the centre of Chichester.

After the bride and groom had a glass of celebratory champagne and a few moments alone I took some beautiful photos of the two of them together as newly married husband and wife!

After a short drive in the Rolls Royce wedding car they arrived at Brasserie Blanc and as Michal works for the group it was the obvious choice for their wedding reception. On Arrival at Brassier Blanc they were welcomed with much fanfair with music dancing and generally carrying on! Their wedding party was such fun with everyone making me feel so welcome and encoring me to join in with the wedding celebrations as much as i could between taking photographs of everything that was going on during the evening.

In the spirt of the party atmosphere thought the whole wedding at came as no surprise when I asked where they were going on honeymoon when they told me they were going on a manymoon! with lots of their friends and touring around Europe.

I am sure that they will be having a blast wherever they are right now and I wish them all the luck fo rah future and look forward to sharing their wedding photos with them on their return.
